Soap alum Tyler Christopher is in legal trouble once again. The actor was arrested on May 26 at the Burbank Airport for public intoxication.
Sources told TMZ that the Burbank police were notified of someone sleeping near the American Airlines terminal and when they approached Christopher, he informed them that he had missed his flight. But the officers arrested him because he was showing visible signs of intoxication and was unable to take care of himself.
Christopher is best known to soap fans for playing Nikolas Cassadine on GENERAL HOSPITAL, a role he began playing back in 1996. After years of coming and going from the ABC soap, the actor last aired on GH in 2016. He was then cast as Stefan DiMera on DAYS OF OUR LIVES in 2017, but the role was recast in 2019.
Over the past year, Christopher has been working again and enjoyed a special 50th birthday celebration. He has also been very candid about his struggles with addiction, especially during a candid conversation with Maurice Benard on his State of Mind YouTube series.
Christopher faced a similar situation back in November 2019 when he was arrested for public intoxication in Indiana. Then, he pled guilty and paid a fine. Now, he has been issued a citation and released with a scheduled court date to appear before a judge.
