Longtime GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers have seen Brooklyn Rae Silzer grow up before their very eyes. After all, the actress was practically a preschooler when she joined the soap’s cast as legacy character Emma Scorpio-Drake back in 2011. But now, Silzer is all grown up, about to graduate from Troy High School in Fullerton, CA — and has been named her school’s prom queen!

Silzer, who will turn 18 on April 27, attended her Senior prom on April 13, and shared several photos from the exciting night on social media. On Instagram, she shared a handful of photos from the pre-dance activities with the trio of friends she attended the dance with, including a red rose emoji as well as a crown, indicating her special selection by her peers. Over on Twitter/X, Silzer wrote, “Prom was a success.”

Silzer was just 8 years old when she joined the cast of GH as Robin and Patrick’s daughter. She steadily played the role until 2016, when Emma’s parents reunited and moved across the country to Berkeley, CA. In the years since, Silzer has made a few return visits to the soap. Her most recent appearance was last November when Emma surprised grandparents Anna and Robert in Port Charles for Thanksgiving — and was looking remarkably like an adult!

“Every time I’m there, everyone just like, stops and stares at me and they’re like, ‘What?! How are you so big?’” she told Soap Opera Digest at the time. “It’s kind of funny because it happens every time. I mean, there are pretty big gaps in between when I visit, so everyone thinks I get bigger each time.”

Silzer also revealed that, with college on the horizon, she was applying for nursing school — a career choice that was influenced by her time on the soap! “Because ever since I started, I’ve known I wanted to be a nurse, I think since I was six years old,” she confessed. “I always said, ‘I want to be a nurse when I grow up,’ and it just stayed with me, and I’ve become more inspired as I’ve been doing volunteer work throughout my high school years.”

Please join us in congratulating Silzer on being crowned prom queen! We wish her all the best as she counts down the next few weeks to her high school graduation!
