GH’s Kathleen Gati Teases Her Secret New Movie!
It’s been a while since GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers have seen Dr. Obrecht on screen, but portrayer Kathleen Gati has been keeping pretty busy with an exciting new project! The actress hasn’t been as active on social media recently but on March 7, took the opportunity to reach out to her fans and let them know what’s going on.
“Just a little hint to say I’ve been quiet because I am busy acting in a beautiful movie,” Gati captioned a selfie of herself in sunglasses. And although fans were eager to know all about it, she admitted: “Can’t say more at the moment. Those NDAs are powerful! But I am sending my love to you all!”
Gati originally joined the cast of GH back in the summer of 2012 for a short-term villain role that quickly became a fan-favorite character and Dr. Liesl Obrecht has continued to appear on the soap stirring up trouble for over a decade.
During her time on GH, Gati has done a lot of moonlighting, and her fans have followed her across the dial to watch her in shows like THE FOSTERS, BEING MARY JANE, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD: FLIGHT 462, and ARROW as well as movies like A Mermaid for Christmas and American Dream.
Obrecht was last seen on GH back in December 2023 when Scott tried to win her back but she turned him down. And while there’s no indication as to when we might see Gati back in Port Charles, at least we know we’ll be able to see her on-screen again in her new movie!
