Is Anna or Sonny in Danger on GH? – Finola Hughes Speaks Out!

Curtis may have been the one who was shot at the Metro Court pool on GENERAL HOSPITAL, but the question still remains — who was the assassin really trying to take out? While both Anna and Sonny are the likely targets, one seems slightly more likely… at least so far!

“They do feel at this point that she was probably the target,” Finola Hughes admitted in a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest of her alter ego. “Once Victor leaked the information about Anna’s past as a double agent, there were people in Anna’s past that she hurt by being a double agent, and perhaps it’s one of them that came forward to finish her off.”

Another theory being bandied about is that someone at the WSB actually tried to silence Anna permanently, given that the weapon used in the shooting was once in the custody of the government agency. However, when Anna learned that Sonny has become involved with the Pikeman group, that particular revelation raised new suspicions.

“I’ve got to say, this is a really interesting story,” Hughes declared. “Because suddenly, in this circle, there’s Anna, there’s Sonny, there’s the Bureau, and now there’s this security defense contractor. Are they in bed with each other? And how does that all fit together?

“I love it because I’m a bit of a news nerd myself and I kind of like these conspiracy ideas,” the actress continued. “This is the kind of story that I’ve wanted to do for a long time, where you’re trying to put the pieces together.”

But will Anna and Sonny have to wait until there’s another assassination attempt to figure out which one of them is the one in danger? Or will they be able to figure it out before it’s too late?
