Lifetime Movie Network (aka LMN) kicks off its “Shocktober” month of programming on Friday, Oct. 1, with the premiere of My Daughter’s Double Life, starring none other than daytime vet Jacob Young (ex-Rick, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL; ex-Lucky, GENERAL HOSPITAL; ex-AJ, ALL MY CHILDREN) as the leader of a possible cult!

Previously called Fatal Following, the thriller follows René Ashton as Heather, a single mom who is desperate to find her daughter Ally (played by Jacey Nichole) when the teenager goes missing. After the police find Ally’s belongings on the riverbank, it’s presumed that she drowned in the river — but Heather isn’t so sure.

While leaning on her minister and friend, Jack, Heather begins looking into her daughter’s things and is shocked to discover Ally was spending time with a group of troubled teens at a mysterious youth center, led by Young’s charismatic character, Bridger. Researching the youth group leads to Heather seeing a glimpse of Ally… and fearing that her daughter has joined a cult. But when Heather breaks into the center to bring Ally home, will she end up being the one who needs saving? You can watch the trailer, which Young shared on Instagram, below!

Young, who recently joined the cast of THE WALKING DEAD’s final season, shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the set of My Daughter’s Double Life on Instagram, which you can see here. “This one was such a blast to shoot!” the alum of B&B, GH, and AMC declared. “Start your October off with a bang! What a pleasure working with this talented cast and crew!”

After tagging several of his co-stars, including Nichole, the young actress’ mom replied to Young’s post that she was “so proud and excited” to see her daughter in the movie. In return, Young raved about Nichole’s performance as Ally. “She is super talented and has a bright future!” he wrote. “Thank you for bringing her into this world!”

My Daughter’s Double Life will premiere at 8 p.m. EST on LMN.
