Kelly Monaco Opens up About Her Return to GENERAL HOSPITAL

Fans were excited when GENERAL HOSPITAL returned with brand new episodes but many were surprised to see that when the soap aired those new shows, Lindsay Hartley was playing Sam McCall instead of Kelly Monaco! But that recast was only temporary and Monaco is back on screens again.

“I must thank the amazing GH fans for all of the love and support they have shown me in the past couple of weeks,” the actress tweeted in response. “It’s been a crazy year and I feel so blessed, grateful, and humbled to be able to continue to do what I love… 20 years and counting with ABC. What an honor!”

Monaco was not only grateful to the fans for their support, but for her temporary replacement for keeping Sam alive during this difficult time. “I also wanna give a huge shout out to Lindsay Hartley for stepping in and doing a beautiful job playing Sam,” she declared. “Girl, you kicked ass. Way to go!”

When Hartley saw her tweet, she quickly responded with some love of her own. “Thank you, Kelly,” she wrote. “I’m grateful for your support. It’s all about keeping this sacred drama alive. Thanks for sharing Sam with me. She is your precious creation. I’m glad you’re back. Enjoy her future!”

“Stay tuned,” Monaco concluded. “GH is just heating up!”
