Kelly Thiebaud Urges Fans to Help Bring Britt Back to GENERAL HOSPITAL
Fans were excited when Kelly Thiebaud reprised the role of Dr. Britt Westbourne on the March 11 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL. Unfortunately, after just a handful of appearances lasting just under a month, the character was gone again. “Unfortunately yes, I don’t have any more scenes on GH at the moment,” the actress clarified on Twitter. “But, that could all change once production starts back up. I guess if y’all want more of The Britch, you will have to harass Frank and the GH writers. It’s up to them.”
Castmate Finola Hughes (Anna) tweeted that she would love to have Britt back on the soap and even suggested a potential storyline! “This gets my vote!” she tweeted. “A road trip caper with Anna and Finn!” Thiebaud loved that idea and added, “That would be its own spinoff!”
Thiebaud first joined the cast of GH back in September of 2012 and departed in 2014, though she has made sporadic return appearances here and there over the years. This most recent visit to Port Charles saw Britt saying goodbye to BFF Brad as he was sent to prison and getting her medical license back to take over Kim’s job at the hospital. She enjoyed a passionate fling with Julian, but then Peter informed Anna that Britt had left Port Charles to take a better job in Boston.
However, Thiebaud’s fans can continue to watch the actress plying her trade over on NBC soap DAYS OF OUR LIVES, where she will be playing the short-term role of Zoey. But for those who feel like the actress left GH to go to DAYS, she noted that the NBC sudser films farther ahead. “I booked DAYS last year in August,” Thiebaud clarified. “It’s just now airing.”
Thiebaud’s run as Eva Vasquez on STATION 19 also came to an end in the March 26 episode, but there’s always the possibility of a return to the primetime drama as well as GH. “Currently I am not on any shows as a series regular,” Thiebaud explained. “I’m just bouncing around where the work takes me. Thank you for welcoming me back to Port Charles. Always a fun visit and let’s hope there is more to come. Love you all! Stay safe.”
