Kirsten Storms Shares an Update on Her Recovery

Tags:

It was just one month ago that GENERAL HOSPITAL star Kirsten Storms shocked fans by revealing that she had undergone brain surgery to remove a benign cyst from the lower portion of her brain. And as she continues to heal, the actress has continued to keep fans in the loop with updates on her recovery… including what she’s been watching! “I’ve been binge-watching RU PAUL’S DRAG RACE on a serious level,” she revealed. “Thanks to my little sis, Gretchen, for getting me hooked.”

In soaps, characters recover from brain surgery with just a little bandage covering a full head of hair, but that’s not how it works in the real world, so Storms has been wearing a particular hairstyle for a particular reason. “Rocking this top knot every single day since the bottom half of my hair has a buzz cut,” she explained. “I kinda dig it and honestly, it’s keeping me a little cooler in this crazy heat.”

As she recovers, Storms has also been keeping herself occupied with various projects, including her daughter. “Crocheting many, many things right now,” she admitted. “Finished a super cute summer top for Harper. Spending lots of time with my little love bug, Harper. She remains the best kid ever. She’s been living for swim time at Auntie Emmy’s [Rylan, ex-Lulu, GH] house and Barbies. Lots of Barbies.”

And as far as her actual health goes, the actress and mom is happy to continue to report only good news. “My doctor says I’m healing really well,” Storms declared. “That is all. Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday weekend! Sending love.”

We’re all happy to hear that Storms is well on the road to recovery and can’t wait for her to be back in top form and back on screen as Maxie on GH very soon!
