Fans were excited when Kristina Wagner tweeted on Nov. 30 that she was returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL as Felicia on Dec. 1. But the news got even better when she took to Instagram on Dec. 5 to share a longer post revealing that not only is she back on the soap, but she’s back on contract!
“I’m pleased to announce I just finished my first work week on contract with GH,” she reported. “The good people there have made it a well-oiled machine. I’m so impressed with the way they navigate the COVID protocols. It’s not easy but well worth it.”
Wagner joined the cast of GH back in September 1984, where she became part of the popular supercouple pairing of Frisco and Felicia. After departing the soap in 2003, the actress returned for a brief run from 2004-05 after which, the role was recast with ANOTHER WORLD alum Sandra Ferguson. However, she only aired for a handful of episodes before the character was once again written off the canvas. Wagner reclaimed her role for another month in December 2007 when Felicia’s daughter, Georgie, was tragically killed. In 2012, she returned to GH on a recurring basis, although she did not return immediately after the soap resumed production following the COVID pandemic hiatus. The last time Wagner was seen on screen as Felicia was during the special tribute episode to the late John Reilly (Sean) in May 2021.
“We’ve got some fun storylines coming up,” Wagner promised. “I’ve been thrown in the middle of a current storyline and I think Felicia’s part in it gives it some color. Stay tuned!” With Maxie’s daughter, Louise, currently being raised as Bailey by Brook Lynn and Chase in order to protect the infant from Peter, the pressure of the lie is getting to be a bit much to bear. So Maxie could definitely use her mother’s support during this trying time! Although with Wagner back on the canvas full time, there’s no telling who Felicia might interact with now!
The beautiful actress also offered a shout-out to the talented photographer who took the gorgeous headshot at the top of this article. “My photograph was shot by Kenneth Dolin Photography,” she revealed. “For anyone who needs headshots and lives in the L.A. area, he’s your go-to photographer. He’s a good guy, too!”
At this time, there’s no information as to when, exactly, Wagner’s first episode back will air. But if she started taping on Dec. 1, it’s likely she’ll be on-screen for the holidays at the end of the month. So keep watching to see what new drama Felicia gets mixed up in!
