Kristina Wagner Gets a Precious Early Mother’s Day Gift

Tags:

The universe works in mysterious ways. At least, that is how Kristina Wagner (Felicia, GENERAL HOSPITAL) is viewing a very special quartet of photos she recently came across that she had completely forgotten about.

At first glance, the pictures seem pretty run-of-the-mill: A young man is making silly faces as his mother glances up at him, a wide smile on her face. However, for the mother in the photos — that would be Wagner — the images are something to be treasured since they are of her and her late son, Harrison, who passed away nearly a year ago.

Sharing the photos on Instagram, Wagner urged her followers to not take even the most mundane of life’s events for granted. “Enjoy the small moments,” wrote the actress, who is also mom to son Peter. “Be grateful for what you have. I can’t believe I found this picture. It was taken on an airplane with my laptop camera.”

The GH star also couldn’t help but take note of the ironic timing of when she discovered the snapshots. “Perhaps it’s an early Mother’s Day gift for me sent from somewhere else 🥰,” she mused.

As expected, Wagner’s post drew many responses from friends and fans. “Beautiful, beautiful,” good friend Finola Hughes (Anna) replied. “It’s definitely a ‘Godwink’ from your guardian angel,” declared one follower of the series of photos. Another told the actress, “No perhaps about it, Kristina. He’s with you.”

June 6 will mark the first anniversary of Harrison’s death at the age of 27. The beloved son of Kristina and Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, GH) struggled with drugs and alcohol before he passed away early last summer. His parents later established the Harrison Wagner Scholarship Fund with the New Life House Recovery Community in the hopes of helping other young men struggling with the same issues.
