Lisa LoCicero Swims With the Sharks!

Tags:

We’re sure Lisa LoCicero (Olivia, GENERAL HOSPITAL) enjoyed her vacation in the Maldives, even though she took the opportunity to face her fears in a big way! The actress shared the photo above on Instagram along with a video taken from the boat immediately after she went night diving with dozens of sharks!

“The woman in that first photo is scared,” LoCicero confessed. “I really did not believe that my anemic little body could do what I was asking it to do. I could not ever have imagined that I’d be hooking myself to a rock deep under the ocean in the dark night with a flashlight as 50-ish sharks and manta rays swam so close I was getting slapped by tails and wings and looking right into their weird little dead shark eyes (and you can see their teeth).

“As someone whose first theater movie was Jaws and who was picked last for every sports team, I can say I am proud of myself,” she added. “We just lost my beloved dad who loved the ocean slightly more than it terrified him. I took him down there with me. Love you, Dad.”

LoCicero shared a little video from her scuba diving training where she introduced her instructor and diving partner on Twitter. She also showed off the gorgeous beach where she took her last class before her open-water dive, and we’re not even a little bit jealous of that view. Nope, no sir!

Following her night dive with the sharks, the GH star declared it was worth all the effort and fear. “That was the most incredible thing I’ve ever done in my life,” she proclaimed. Well, we’ll have to take your word for it because it’s not something any of us here at Soaps In Depth are planning to do… ever!
