Vanessa Marcil and Rena Sofer Share Memories of Iconic GH Shoot

A dig through old photographs brought back some wonderful GENERAL HOSPITAL memories for Rena Sofer. Although she is currently starring as Quinn on CBS sudser THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, she played Lois Cerullo on GH from 1993-97. “I was going through some old photo albums to show my daughter and I came across this one,” Sofer said of the pic of her and Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda) cozied up asleep. “An oldie but a goody. Me and Vanessa on a ferry going around the Statue of Liberty on a remote for GH.

“This was for Ned and Lois’ wedding way back in ’95 when we did a remote in NYC and Brooklyn,” she continued. “This was one of my most favorite memories, not just of GH but of my career. I loved working with Vanessa so much! And this pic shows how close we were back then. (We are still madly in love.) So exhausted she just curled up on me and we fell asleep to the rhythm of the Hudson River.”

Marcil couldn’t resist sharing the same photo on her own Instagram, along with her own memories. “Rena Sofer just sent this to me,” she explained. “On the ferry in NY after filming Ned and Lois’ wedding in Brooklyn. We had the best time working together always. We are soul sisters for life. Later, I moved to Williamsburg. #Brooklyn4life.”

Fans will never forget Ned and Lois’ memorable nuptials as they ran through the streets of Brooklyn to get to the church on time, and neither will these two actresses. Memories — and a friendship — to last a lifetime!
