Please join us in congratulating Scarlett Fernandez on her fourth anniversary playing Charlotte Cassadine on GENERAL HOSPITAL! “Four years ago today Charlotte West made her debut on GH,” the young actress shared on Instagram. “What I remember about my first episode is how friendly Ryan Paevey (ex-Nathan) and Kirsten Storms (Maxie) made me feel, and how welcomed I was!
“It has been such a fun four years,” she continued, “and I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love so much. Thank you [GH casting director] Mark Teschner and [GH executive producer] Frank Valentini for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime! And thank you to everyone who has watched me go from Charlotte West to Charlotte Munro to Charlotte Cassadine! Love you all!”
Charlotte had been spoken of by her mother, Claudette, for a while before the little girl finally appeared in the Oct. 13, 2016 episode of GH. Initially believed to be Nathan’s daughter, it was then suspected that Griffin could be her father before the truth that she’s actually the child of Lulu and Valentin was finally revealed! Yes, it’s terribly complicated, but we can break it all down for you.
With GH having brought back Ava and Grace Scarola during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the soap clearly has ways of keeping its child actors safe at this difficult time. So hopefully, Fernandez can soon return to play the little troublemaker as we haven’t seen Charlotte since May and who knows what she’s been getting up to!
