Steve Burton’s First Air Date at GENERAL HOSPITAL Revealed!

As soon as ABC teased Steve Burton’s return to GENERAL HOSPITAL as Jason Morgan at the conclusion of their 60th anniversary primetime special, fans were champing at the bit to find out when they could expect him back on screen again. And when Burton revealed that he was going to be back on set the week of Feb. 5, he wasn’t quite sure what his first air date might be. 

Given the GH shooting schedule, we speculated at the time it should be around the first week of March, and now Burton has confirmed that to be the case! Viewers can expect to see Jason back on their screens on Monday, March 4!

“Okay, alright,” Burton said in a selfie video he took backstage at the GH studio. “So, here’s what’s crazy is I’m back… on the set. We’re getting ready to shoot right now. So, listen, I got to talk to the headwriters. This story is going to be sick. It’s going to be awesome. So make sure you keep watching because the pieces of the puzzle are going to be fit for when I return. And that return date, that air date, is March 4th. Stay tuned. Keep watching. And if you stopped, get back, because it’s gonna be awesome.”

Jason was presumed dead in a cave-in on Cassadine Island back in November 2021, and fans are already speculating wildly about how the soap could bring the character back to the canvas. One of the most popular theories being bandied about right now is that Jason is the mysterious gunman who has been taking shots at Sonny! Could someone have rescued Jason and brought him back to life brainwashed? Or might Jason show up just in the nick of time to save Sonny’s life and take down his assassin himself?

Like Burton says, you’ll have to stay tuned to find out, because storyline details are being kept tightly under wraps for now! And on GH, anything is possible!
