Please join us in congratulating GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Sydney Mikayla (Trina) on her graduation from high school! And not only did it happen early, but she was top of her class! “I’ve been so busy I forgot to let everyone know I graduated in January,” she shared on Instagram. “I left with a 4.3 GPA and was top 7% of my class!”
Mikayla also included the hashtag “#blackgirlmagic” with her post that included short video clips of herself striding confidently towards the camera in her cap and gown as well as posing for photographs. And when she shared an image from that second video on Twitter, she remarked, “Today was a beautiful day for a photo shoot.”
Naturally, the young star’s GH castmates joined the fans in congratulating her on the impressive accomplishment, including William Lipton (Cameron), Briana Nicole Henry (Jordan), Eden McCoy (Josslyn), and Johnny Wactor (Brando).
Mikayla joined the cast of GH in February 2019 when she took over the role of Trina Robinson, and while working on the soap has also been providing voices for the animated series KIPO AND THE AGE OF WONDERBEASTS and CRAIG OF THE CREEK, all while excelling in her studies in high school. Which means that the talented young woman should have no problem doing the same when she heads off to college in the fall!
