Tyler Christopher Is “Grateful” For His New Movie Role!

Tags:

An independent movie that soap alum Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas, GENERAL HOSPITAL; ex-Stefan, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) worked on earlier this year is about to make its premiere, and the actor couldn’t be more thrilled with the production! As previously reported, Christopher had been cast in the role of Richard in Murder, Anyone?, an adaptation of a play by the same name penned by the late television writer Gordon Bressack.

The movie version of Murder, Anyone? was directed and produced by Bressack’s son, James Cullen Bressack, as an homage to his late father, a prolific television writer who worked on animated series such as TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES and PINKY AND THE BRAIN. Starring Spencer Breslin and THE BAY’s Kristos Andrews, Murder, Anyone? will soon begin making the rounds of the film festival circuit, likely in hopes of securing a distribution deal, and Christopher will be on hand for a screening of the movie next month.

Christopher shared his excitement over the project in an Instagram post, which he opened with a famous line by Russian actor and director Konstantin Stanislavski. “To quote the father of modern acting, ‘There are no small roles, only small actors,’” the former GH and DAYS star wrote. “I am truly grateful for every opportunity to take on a new role, and while my part as Richard in Murder, Anyone? was modest, it was an honor to be a part of this project.”

Explaining the plot of the movie, Christopher continued, “In this dark comedy, two playwrights are tasked with creating a new avant-garde, surrealistic, mind-bending, neo-thriller and find their story coming to life as they write.”

One of the festivals that Murder, Anyone? will screen at is the Oh Scares Film Festival in Los Angeles on October 15 — and Christopher will be joining the filmmaker at the event. “I am pleased to be able to attend a screening of this film,” he wrote, inviting his followers to come out and join them. “This film will be shown at 5 p.m., and tickets are available on Eventbrite. See you there!”
