Vinessa Antoine Cast in the New Movie “Seven Veils”

Since leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL where she played Jordan for four years, Vinessa Antoine has had quite the career. And now, the actress has been cast in the upcoming movie Seven Veils. “Excited to join the impeccable cast of Atom Egoyan’s new film,” she expressed on Instagram when news of her casting broke.

Seven Veils is the new film from The Sweet Hereafter director Atom Egoyan and follows the character of Jeanine — played by fellow daytime alum Amanda Seyfried (Lucy, AS THE WORLD TURNS; Joni, ALL MY CHILDREN) — a theatre director tasked with remounting her former mentor’s most famous production, the opera Salome. Haunted by dark and disturbing memories, Jeanine’s past colors her future as she re-enters the opera world after years away.

The cast also includes Douglas Smith, Mark O’Brien, and Rebecca Liddiard. Unfortunately, although the film wrapped principal photography back in early March, there have been no details released about Antoine’s character in the film. But we feel she’d make a great opera diva! In fact, back in January, when she first teased this project, she even crossed out the name of the film!

Antoine originated the character of Jordan Ashford on GH back in 2014 and exited the soap in 2018 to star in the Canadian primetime drama DIGGSTOWN, which earned critical acclaim and multiple awards. During this time, the actress also appeared in episodes of THE RESIDENT and HUDSON & REX as well as in recurring roles on INTERROGATION and GINNY & GEORGIA.

There is no release date yet scheduled for Seven Veils, but keep checking back here at for future updates because we’ll be sure to let you know when you can see Antoine on the big screen!
