Vinessa Antoine Is Shooting DIGGSTOWN Season Three!

Tags:

It’s time to go back to work for the talented Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan, GENERAL HOSPITAL) as DIGGSTOWN goes into production on its third season! “I’m home,” the actress shared on Instagram. “Day one. #D3. Let’s. Go.”

Antoine left GH to return to Canada and star in the CBC legal drama as attorney Marcie Diggs, a role that made headlines as Canada’s first black Canadian female series lead. Antoine is up for Best Lead Actress, Drama at the 2021 Canadian Screen awards alongside director Cory Bowles and cinematographer Celiana Cárdenas for their exceptional work on DIGGSTOWN.

Antoine also posted a couple video clips to her Insta with DIGGSTOWN co-star Natasha Henstridge where she opened bout coming back to work after a prolonged break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Yesterday was day one and I felt like I was just learning to walk again,” she admitted. “I feel grateful to be working but I also feel really grateful to be working with such a great cast and crew.”

Although FOX reportedly picked up seasons one and two of DIGGSTOWN to air in the United States so Americans can finally see what all the fuss is about, there has still been no announcement as to when exactly, the episodes will be broadcast there. However, Canadians can look forward to a third season later this year, and Antoine promises a good one. “The writing is really fun,” she declared. “Strong writing. We have a big season ahead of us. It’s a nice start. So you guys stay tuned!”
