Catch up with GUIDING LIGHT alum Shawn Thompson during a live chat in The Locher Room on Friday, July 14, at 3 p.m. ET!

Launching his show biz career as a magician and circus performer, Thompson turned to comedy, and after some time as a stand-up, he pivoted to acting. Soap fans will remember him from his role of Simon Hall, the con man who pretended to be Alexandra Spaulding’s brother to take revenge on GL back in 1986. He also played Corny Collins in John Waters’ cult classic Hairspray and during his career, worked opposite actors like Rod Steiger, Jon Cryer, Eric McCormack, Ed Asner, and Michael Rooker.

In addition to writing, producing, and directing, Thompson recently returned to his love for photography and has a gallery show running this summer. He’ll have a lot to talk about, so don’t miss it!
