Is Paul Leaving Days of Our Lives?

Paul Narita has been through quite a lot of ups and downs on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, but he may have finally run out of luck. Christopher Sean has been playing Paul since his first appearance in November of 2014, but with the actor having announced his decision to leave DAYS, it looks like Paul’s story will not have a particularly happy ending.

Paul was first introduced as a former baseball player undergoing surgery in Salem with Dr. Daniel Jonas. He flirted heavily with the ladies and even had a brief fling with Theresa Donovan, but it was soon revealed that he was an ex-boyfriend of Sonny Kiriakis, and not yet ready to come out of the closet. Upset at learning that his should injury would end his professional sports career, Paul reached out to Sonny, who revealed he was married. Interviewing him about his life story, Will Horton (Sonny’s husband at the time) inquired about Paul’s sexuality and the ballplayer answered by kissing him and taking him to bed!

Using Will’s article to come out publicly, Paul first told his conservative parents and was relieved they were both supportive. Unfortunately, Paul’s affair with Will was exposed publicly at Will and Sonny’s anniversary celebration. Paul then discovered that John Black is his real father, so he decided to stick around Salem to get to know his dad better. When Will was murdered by Ben Weston, Paul tried to comfort Sonny, feeling guilty about destroying their marriage.

Paul found work modeling for MAD World Cosmetics and Basic Black, and things were going fine until he was kidnapped by the mysterious Yo Ling who revealed himself to be John’s presumed dead father, Tim Robicheaux. John rescued his son, but Paul had been injected with a bio-toxin that left him on the verge of death until an antidote was discovered. Paul then went to work for his father as a private investigator and took a bullet for John when longtime foe Orpheus sought revenge.

Over time, Paul and Sonny grew closer and they eventually held a double wedding with Chad DiMera and Abigail Deveraux. But on the big day, Ben crashed the ceremony to reveal that Will was still alive! Sonny put off the nuptials until the truth was found, and when Paul saw Will alive and tending bar in Nashville, he almost didn’t tell Sonny for fear of losing him. Then, to complicate matters even further, Will had amnesia and so instead of reuniting with Sonny, he found himself attracted to Paul!

Paul initially rejected Will’s advances, but they became friends, and while investigating Paul’s suspicions that John was poisoning Steve Johnson, they grew closer and fell in love. He helped Will try to regain his memories by injecting him with an experimental formula, but it didn’t work. Unfortunately, at John and Marlena’s wedding, Will’s memories finally came flooding back and he remembered his love for Sonny. But before he could tell Paul the truth about what had happened, Paul found himself hunting down Kristen DiMera and during a struggle with the villainess, tumbled out a window!

Paul was rushed to the hospital and made it through surgery, but is now paralyzed. And when he learns about Sonny and Will’s rekindled relationship, his heart will also be broken as well Is this really how his story will end?
