DAYS OF OUR LIVES Spoilers — What’s Wrong With Marlena?
Marlena’s out of her coma in these DAYS OF OUR LIVES spoilers, but it looks as though the ordeal has changed her quite a bit. As she lashes out at her family and loved ones, how long will this transformation last? Could it be permanent?
After being shot during her and John’s wedding ceremony, Marlena managed to pull through surgery, but lapsed into a coma after going into septic shock. Everyone gathered around her hospital bedside waiting for her to pull through, but Belle discovered her mother’s DNR and insisted that they had to respect her wishes and turn off her ventilator. Thankfully, just as things looked darkest, a light shone through and Marlena wakes up on her own! The family is thrilled that she isn’t dying and Sami cries: “You’re gonna be okay.” But a newly-conscious Marlena glares at her daughter. “No thanks to you,” she whispers, still weak. Sami is stunned by her mother’s words, and Marlena waves her arm. “Get her out of here,” she orders. “Before she finishes me off.”

It was a drugged-up Sami who was holding the gun when Eric tackled her and it went off, shooting Marlena, but it was Belle who insisted that they turn off the machines keeping her alive despite the protests of everyone else in the family. So when Belle later enters her mom’s room with a vase and smiles to see Marlena doing so much better, things take another turn. “Brought you some flowers,” Belle smiles, placing the bouquet on the table at the foot of her bed. Marlena frowns and snarks: “Did you ask for the ‘Sorry I Almost Killed My Mom” bouquet?”
