Veteran performer Alan Scarfe has died on April 28, 2024, at the age of 77. An online obituary reports that the British-Canadian actor, director, and author passed away peacefully at his home in Longueuil, Quebec, from colon cancer.

After training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Scarfe began his career on the stage, performing in theaters across Europe, Canada, and the United States. On the big screen, the actor could be seen in movies like Lethal Weapon 3 and Double Impact, and guest starred in television series like MacGyver, Quantum Leap, and NYPD Blue.

Scarfe is well-known to Star Trek fans for playing multiple roles on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek Voyager. But he is remembered by ABC soap fans for playing Leo Cromwell on One Life To Live back in 1988. The character was a con man who tried to pass his daughter off as Viki’s lost child and was searching for the entrance to the lost city of Eterna hoping to find its treasures of gold. Unfortunately, after being trapped in the underground city with Viki, Tina, and others, Leo found the treasure he was seeking, but at the cost of his own life.

Scarfe is predeceased by his wife, Barbara, who passed away from cancer in August 2019. He is survived by his daughter Tosia, son-in-law Austin, brother Colin, son Jonathan, and grandchildren Kai and Hunter. Our thoughts are with his friends and family during this difficult time.
