Rodney Van Johnson Returns to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL!

Could Sheila Carter be getting out of prison? She could have some help in achieving that goal when Rodney Van Johnson returns to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as her lawyer, Russell! “Does Sheila deserve a second chance… and why?” the actor mused on Instagram when he first appeared on the soap back in January 2023. (At this point, we’ve lost track of how many chances she’s had!)

In its newest issue, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Van Johnson will be back on B&B in the episode scheduled to air on Friday, July 21. There are no details yet as to how long this run will last. Last time around it was only a few episodes as Russell represented Sheila at her hearing.

Back in January, Sheila managed to get off on attempted murder charges because she’d gotten Bill to blackmail Steffy and Finn into refusing to testify against her so the case was dropped. However, it was later revealed that Bill was running a long con to get Sheila to confess to murder on tape so they could put her away for life and be rid of her once and for all. So when Russell appears again as Sheila’s attorney, will he be able to get her released again?

Best known for playing T.C. Russell on the NBC soap PASSIONS, Van Johnson has also played Sebastian Dupre on ABC’s PORT CHARLES and Trey Stark on CBS’ THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. In addition to his work in soaps, the actor also starred as Cipher in season one of the syndicated drama series PENSACOLA: WINGS OF GOLD. He can also be seen in episodes of shows like THE JAMIE FOXX SHOW, MAD ABOUT YOU, GIRLFRIENDS, and WITHOUT A TRACE as well as movies like One Fine Christmas, The Magic, and Holiday Hideaway.

Given the charges against Sheila, Russell will certainly have his work cut out for him. So stay tuned to see how things play out and if the attorney can get Sheila released from prison again. (And also if she can stay out of prison this time around!)
