Any mother or father will tell you that there is a point in time where they just utterly and epically fail as a parent, an everyday “whoops” that just leaves them in shock, slightly horrified… and often in a fit of laughter. For the internet’s entertainment, Scott Clifton (Liam, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) has shared one of his parenting disasters with on Instagram — and it is hilarious!

The incident happened when Clifton and his son, Ford, were hanging out in their living room one day around Christmastime, as evidenced by the festively decorated tree in the corner of the video the B&B star shared. “Flashback to my 2023 Father of the Year moment,” Clifton captioned the video, which was seemingly captured by an indoor camera in his living room.

In the clip, the actor is bouncing a giant exercise ball as Ford circles nearby. After a particularly hard hit, the ball hit the entryway ceiling in just the right place to ricochet off and hit Ford in the head, sending the 7-year-old flying back onto the couch behind him!

Horrified, Clifton rushed over to Ford, who is giggling hysterically. “Are you okay?” the concerned dad asked his son. “I’m so sorry.”

As Ford cackles with laughter, Clifton covered his face with his hands in disbelief. Cracking a smile himself, the actor confessed, “I can’t believe that. From my point of view, it looked like it murdered you. You went flying back on the couch!”

Thankfully, Ford wasn’t seriously hurt, and the two Clifton boys had a good laugh about the whole thing! And we’re sure that will make for great fodder between them in the future: “Hey Dad, remember that time you nailed me in the head with a giant ball?”
