Sean Kanan’s STUDIO CITY Season Two Premieres!

The wait is over! The second season of STUDIO CITY is now available to stream on demand on Amazon! “I am unbelievably proud of STUDIO CITY and what we accomplished during season one,” said series creator, writer, executive producer, and star, Sean Kanan. “It was a project that, with the hard work of an ensemble of talented creatives, came to fruition and won the Daytime Emmy in 2021 for Outstanding Fiction Series. We are excited to bring you season two.”

Kanan, who can also currently be seen playing Deacon on CBS sudser THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, created STUDIO CITY with Jason Antognoli. After the first season premiered back in December 2019, it won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Limited Drama Series at the 2021 ceremony.

Back at the end of April, Kanan tweeted an update for fans explaining the delay in releasing the new episodes. “Thank you all for your patience waiting for season two of STUDIO CITY. The new episodes were delivered more than a week ago. Unfortunately, it is out of our hands. We are all frustrated.” Thankfully, just days later, the six-episode season two was available for streaming!

The series centers around Kanan’s character of Sam Stevens, a longtime soap actor starring in the second most popular daytime drama, HEARTS ON FIRE. As he struggles to keep his status as top dog at the show while also breaking out into feature films, he finds himself struggling with complications in his personal life as family secrets suddenly come to light!

In addition to Kanan, soap fans can look forward to seeing stars like Carolyn Hennesy (Diane, GENERAL HOSPITAL), Tristan Rogers (Robert, GH), Anna Maria Horsford (ex-Vivienne, B&B), Justin Torkildsen (ex-Rick, B&B), Lilly Melgar (ex-Lily, GH), and more!
