Courtney Hope Joins THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!
Look out, Genoa City! Courtney Hope is joining the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! The actress, who recently departed her role as Sally on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, shared a photo of herself on Instagram decked out in a Y&R hat and T-shirt and holding up a Crimson Lights coffee mug. “This seems like a good fit,” she teased.
Hope made her daytime debut in January 2017 when she joined B&B as Sally Spectra, and although she was written out in March 2018, she was back just a few months later to continue telling her story. Unfortunately, on Aug. 3, 2020, the actress reported “an abrupt ending to a monumental journey,” as she announced her exit from the soap. But luckily for her fans, it seems that the talented actress has been snatched up by sister soap Y&R!
Friends and fellow soap stars filled up Hope’s Instagram comments with congratulations. “Ah! Yes, girl!” cheered Katelyn MacMullen (Willow, GENERAL HOSPITAL). “You’re so talented, keep on shining!” To which Hope’s boyfriend, GH star Chad Duell (Michael) jokingly replied, “Don’t tell her what to do.” Laura Wright (Carly, GH) offered “Congratulations! Woo hoo!” and B&B’s Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) simply commented with a series of fire emojis that really says it all.
Unfortunately, while CBS has confirmed the casting, at this time there is no information available as to who Hope will be playing on Y&R or when her first airdate might be. So stay tuned for updates!
