Soap Alum Chris McKenna Reveals He’s Married!
Please join us in wishing belated congratulations to daytime alum Chris McKenna, who just announced that he and his girlfriend Lovisa are married! “Can’t keep it a secret any longer,” he shared on Instagram with a short video of him sweeping his love up into his arms for a kiss. “We eloped during the pandemic and will have a proper ceremony in future.
“I’m so happy, I’m so proud, and so very deeply in love with this woman,” McKenna added. He then wrote “Min älskling. Alltid,” which means “My darling. Always,” in Swedish, which is where his beautiful bride hails from. “Introducing the incredible, the brilliant, the amazing Mrs. Lovisa McKenna,” he concluded.
Lovisa shared the same clip taped at the Passionflix fan gathering Passioncon on her own Instagram. “We can finally share the happy news that we eloped during the crazy pandemic!” she announced. “My person, my everything, alltid.” (Remember, “alltid” is “always” in Swedish!)
McKenna may be best known by CBS soap fans for his run as Detective Mark Harding on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS from 2014-15, but he actually made his daytime debut back on ABC playing Joey Buchanan on ONE LIFE TO LIVE from 1990-93! He also played Dr. Hayden on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL in 2016, and most recently could be seen playing Marc Rothman on Freeform’s GOOD TROUBLE.
The couple announced their engagement at Christmas 2020, and will celebrate their fifth anniversary together this year on August 19. Please join us in wishing them all the best for a lifetime of happiness together!
