Y&R’s Camryn Grimes Says Goodbye to Her Beloved Dog, Riley

Our hearts go out to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Camryn Grimes (Mariah), who announced the sad news that her beloved dog, a Puggle named Riley, has died.

In a heartbreaking Instagram post, the actress shared that she first fell “instantly in love” with the breed while watching the 2009 movie I Love You, Man, in which Jason Segel’s character explains that his dog is a mix of a Pug and a Beagle. “Less than a year later I held a little girl in my arms and our lives together started,” Grimes wrote. “I named her Riley.”

Sadly, Grimes had to say goodbye to Riley a few days ago. “I held my little girl in my arms for the last time and told her the story of us. I thanked her for every chapter she spent by my side, every day she was the reason I got out of bed, and all the days she was compassionate when I didn’t,” the Y&R star admitted. “Homes and relationships, happiness, and heartbreak, I was okay because she was my constant.”

Along with her touching tribute, Grimes shared several photos of her and Riley over the years. “My Riley girl, you are and always will be the first to make me a mom,” added the actress, who welcomed a little boy named Bridger with fiancé Brock Powell back in December. “Thank you for walking me to the newest chapter of my life. I’m devastated that ours has come to an end. A piece of my heart is gone with you. I love you forever.”
