Y&R’s Camryn Grimes Welcomes a Beautiful Baby Boy!
Please join us in congratulating THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Camryn Grimes (Mariah), who received an early Christmas present with the birth of her son, Bridger Elias Foster on Dec. 13, 2023! “Dad and I never liked waiting for Christmas, either,” the actress joked as she shared one of the first photos of their newborn on Instagram. “Our little family’s future is merry and bright.”
Back in August, Grimes announced that she and fiancé Brock Powell were expecting their first child together She later admitted that they were surprised because they weren’t planning on having a baby quite yet. “We weren’t trying but we weren’t not trying,” she revealed at the time.
Grimes joined the cast of Y&R back in 1997 to play Cassie Newman. In 2000, she became the youngest-ever winner of the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress at the age of 11. Fans were crushed when the soap killed the character off in 2005, but Grimes continued to return occasionally as Cassie for visits from beyond. Then, in 2014, she began playing the newly-created character of Mariah Copeland, who was later revealed to be Cassie’s long-lost twin sister. She then picked up another Daytime Emmy Award in 2018, this time in the Supporting Actress category.
Naturally, fans and friends were thrilled for Grimes’ happy news. “Oh my goodness!” exclaimed Sean Dominic (Nate). “He definitely didn’t want to wait! Congratulations!” Tracy Bregman also offered her congrats and added: “Welcome to the best part of your life.”
