Y&R Star Camryn Grimes Is Pregnant!

Please join us in congratulating THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Camryn Grimes, who is pregnant with her first child! The actress announced the happy news on social media, announcing that Baby Foster is due in December. “Guess you can add mother to my resume,” she jokingly captioned her post with a carousel of Polaroids showing off her growing baby bump.

Grimes began dating actor Brock Powell back in March 2020 and announced their engagement in January 2022. (Powell popped the question on Grimes’ birthday in a spectacular Disney-themed proposal!) The couple is still planning their wedding, and now are preparing to welcome their first child together.

Soap fans have watched Grimes grow up on screen starting when she joined the cast of Y&R back in 1997 to play Cassie Newman. And she became the youngest winner ever of the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress when she took home the trophy in 2000 at age 10! Viewers were left heartbroken when Cassie was killed off in a car accident in 2005 and Grimes left the show.

The actress continued to make sporadic appearances as Cassie’s spirit appearing to her parents, Nick and Sharon, in the years that followed, and then in 2014, Grimes returned to Y&R as a new character, Mariah Copeland, who was revealed to be Cassie’s long-lost twin sister. (Earning another Daytime Emmy Award in 2018, this time in the Supporting Actress category!)

Naturally, the comments on Grimes’ Instagram post filled quickly with love and congratulations from fans and friends, including Y&R co-stars like Tracey Bregman (Lauren), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea), Melissa Ordway (Abby), and Bryton James (Devon).

Now we just have to wait another four months or so before we can see those first photos of beautiful Baby Foster!
