John Enos Mourns the Death of His Beloved Dog, Duke

Our thoughts and prayers are with THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum John Enos (ex-Bobby), as he mourns the death of his beloved canine companion, Duke. The actor shared in a sweet Instagram post on Jan. 4 that one of his three Chihuahuas has passed away. “RIP Duke Anthony,” Enos wrote, tagging the location of his post as the Rainbow Bridge. “My beloved loyal best buddy. Through thick and thin, he was always there.”
Knowing how much the 17-year-old dog meant to Enos, many of the actor’s pals replied with messages of support, like Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki). “Oh, John, I am so sorry,” wrote his former Y&R co-star. “What a devastating loss. Just know that someday you two will be reunited. Love never dies.”
While Enos is best known for his 2003-’05 Y&R run, he most recently played Susan’s Elvis-impersonator pal on DAYS OF OUR LIVES in 2017. He has also appeared in primetime shows like BLUE BLOODS, GOTHAM and MELROSE PLACE.
The actor’s Instagram page is full of adorable photos of his three Chihuahuas — the late Duke, as well as Rocco and Vito. Scroll through the gallery below to see a few of our favorite pictures of Enos and Duke.
