Y&R’s Melissa Ordway Celebrates Daughter Sophie’s Fifth Birthday — See How She’s Grown!
Please join us in wishing Sophie Gaston a very happy birthday! The daughter of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Melissa Ordway (Abby) and husband Justin Gaston (ex-Chance, Y&R; ex-Ben, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) is turning five and the proud mom shared a lovely video of the little girl’s life so far to celebrate.
“Five years ago today, at 10:38 a.m. an angel was born,” Ordway wrote. “She surprised us five weeks early. But that’s the thing about Sophie, she’s constantly surprising us.
“Sophie has been described as ‘an interesting bird,’” the actress continued. “A pretty accurate description in my opinion. But more than that, she’s kind, loves Jesus, hilarious, an amazing dance partner (she’s always down to dance). She’s smart, honest, a great friend, and she’s the best little sister. I could go on and on.
Ordway and Gaston also have an older daughter, Olivia, who turned six this year. And on Nov. 9, the entire clan celebrated World Adoption Day which Ordway called “one of our family’s favorite days.” They also celebrate Olivia’s “Coronation Day” on Feb. 27 every year, which is the day that they finalized her adoption.
But Dec. 9 is all about their younger girl! “Sophie, we love you and we’re so proud of you,” Ordway declared. “You’ll always be my baby. Happy fifth birthday.”
