Y&R Alum Sean Carrigan Mourns the Death of His Father

Our hearts go out to Sean Carrigan (ex-Stitch, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS), who is mourning the loss of his father, George “Patrick” Carrigan. “I’ll miss you forever,” the actor wrote on Instagram on June 9 with a series of photos of him with his dad through the years.

Along with the photos, the former Y&R star delivered an invitation to his followers to join his family as they celebrated Pat’s life in Alexandria, Virginia. “This is an open invite for anyone who would like to join us in remembering and celebrating the most dynamic man I’ve ever known, and one helluva father,” said Carrigan. “Hope to see you there.”

    “When I started out [in sports], my father told me 'You have to work harder than everyone,' and it's that determination that I think helps me in my acting career,” Carrigan told the Washington Post in 2004.

    After Pat’s memorial service at Harvest Baptist Church, the family is having “a reception party for Pat at The Crystal City Sports Pub,” wrote the actor.
