Eric Forrester has been a main character on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL ever since the soap premiered back in 1987, so the guy has been through more than enough drama in the past 30 years! But let’s take a look back at some of his most memorable romances!
The role has been played by John McCook since 1987, and the actor has even crossed the character over to sister soap THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS on multiple occasions. (McCook had previously appeared on Y&R as Lance Prentiss from 1976-80.)

When B&B viewers were first introduced to the Forrester patriarch, his marriage to Stephanie was already on the rocks. She thought Eric was having an affair with his assistant, Margo Lynley, but he ended up leaving her for someone else entirely — old college flame Beth Logan! Their relationship has had many ups and downs over the years, and Eric was rocked to learn that Ridge wasn’t his son, but Massimo Marone’s. But Eric considers Ridge a part of the family as much as his other children with Stephanie: Thorne, Kristen, and Felicia. (Sometimes it seems like he favors Ridge over his biological children!) Eric and Stephanie remarried on their 50th anniversary, but soon after, her cancer returned and she passed away.

Brooke Logan originally pursued Eric to get revenge on Stephanie, but Eric fell head over heels for the blonde. When she became pregnant with his child, they married, but it didn’t last because she was still hopelessly in love with Ridge. However, he remains very fond of Brooke and protective of her. They have two children together: Rick and Bridget, who was believed to be Ridge’s for years until it was revealed Sheila had tampered with the paternity test.

Eric briefly thought he’d found happiness with nurse Sheila Carter, but nobody else approved of the relationship and when the couple married, all the guests wore black. Things took a turn when Eric learned from Lauren Fenmore that Sheila had tried to kill her after stealing her baby. Her crimes exposed, Sheila held Eric and his family hostage at gunpoint by Sheila, and he served her with divorce papers at the mental hospital when she was locked up. Recently, Sheila returned to Eric’s life claiming to have turned over a new leaf, though he remained skeptical.
Eric and Taylor/Lauren
Taylor enjoyed a brief fling with Eric, but being a good friend of Stephanie’s, she stepped down so as not to interfere. Eric’s relationship with Lauren also met the same fate, as she also realized she was hurting Stephanie by romancing her friend’s true love.

Eric enjoyed a passionate romance with Brooke’s sister, Donna Logan, which Stephanie naturally disapproved of. But it was Stephanie’s unstable sister, Pam, who caused the most trouble for the couple when she poisoned Eric, causing him to have a heart attack in bed with Donna and fall into a coma! Later, Eric and Stephanie managed to save Donna from being killed by Pam up at the Big Bear cabin. Eric adopted Donna’s long-lost son, Marcus, but eventually their marriage fell apart following the death of her mother, Beth.

Drawn to Quinn, Eric had to keep their affair on the down low because of her past crimes against the Forrester family. When he and Quinn went public, his loved ones attempted an intervention to get him to see exactly what he was getting into. But Eric went ahead and made Quinn his newest wife, despite the fact that no one showed up for their wedding. Despite his constant support of hsi wife and her seeming to have turned over a new leaf, Quinn’s growing feelings for Ridge threaten any possibility of future happiness for her and Eric.
