Jen Lilley and Matthew Morrison Spend Christmas in Paris!

Daytime alum Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; ex-Maxie, GENERAL HOSPITAL) is just a teeny bit eager for viewers to see her latest holiday movie, A Paris Christmas Waltz. “When I tell you all I’m more excited about this film than any other film I’ve ever done, including five-time Academy Award-winning movie The Artist, you better trust me that it’s gonna be epic!” the actress raved on Instagram.

Premiering on Sunday, November 19, at 8 p.m. on Great American Family channel, A Paris Christmas Waltz stars Lilley and fellow soap grad Matthew Morrison (Adam, AS THE WORLD TURNS). Lilley plays Emma, a stressed-out accountant who relinquishes her job so a colleague with a family will be able to keep his. While contemplating what she should do next with her life, Emma meets Morrison’s Leo, a professional dancer whose love for competing has begun to fade, at a singles mixer. However, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity arises for the novice to join the pro and sweep Paris off its feet!

On Instagram, Lilley shared a video montage of her time with Morrison in Paris during the movie’s production, and the background looks absolutely amazing! As does the fancy footwork the two pull off as Emily and Leo! “We do so many dances,” Lilley said in a behind-the-scenes video about the movie. “We’ve got the cha-cha, we’ve got the waltz.”

The two also get to sing in the movie, which was written and produced by THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Michael Damian (Daniel) and his wife, Janeen! (In fact, one of Damian’s new songs off of his upcoming holiday CD is featured in the film.) “We’ve got a Broadway number,” reveals Morrison.

Filmed in Paris, France, and Bucharest, Romania, the flick is somewhat of a sequel to the 2020 movie the Damians penned for Hallmark, The Christmas Waltz, which starred Lacey Chabert and Will Kemp. “I just hope that this movie becomes a movie that people go to every single holiday,” Lilley confessed.

Added Morrison, “It is moving, it is romantic, it is wistful, it is joyful.”
