Chrishell Stause Opens up About Her Mother’s Terminal Cancer Diagnosis

February 4 was World Cancer Day, and daytime actress Chrishell Stause took that day to reveal the heartbreaking news that her mother is dying of the disease. “I just found out today is World Cancer Day eerily on the same day I found out my mom has one to two months to live from the same lung cancer that took my dad on Easter,” she shared on Instagram. “I can’t make sense of what life is teaching me yet, but my heart is with every person fighting this horrible disease and every person that it robbed a loved one from.”

Stause, who soap fans remember as Jordan on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Bethany on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, and Amanda on ALL MY CHILDREN, was grateful for the outpouring of love and support from fans as well as her friends and former castmates, like cancer survivor Eddie Alderson (Matthew, ONE LIFE TO LIVE). 

She is also trying to keep a positive outlook on the situation, sharing a photo a week later of her and her sister, Sabrina, supporting their mother at a chemotherapy treatment. All three women are smiling and look ready to fight back with everything they have. “Staying positive and laughing in the chemo room with my mom and sis,” Stause wrote. “Make the most of today. We all thank you for the prayers and well wishes!”
