Jen Lilley Says Goodbye to DAYS OF OUR LIVES
When DAYS OF OUR LIVES brought back some familiar faces for Victor Kiriakis’ funeral on the soap, some were only for a brief appearance, but others stuck around for a bit. However, Jen Lilley’s most recent return as Theresa is about to come to an end, and the actress shared a series of screenshots from this run as she said a heartfelt goodbye to the soap.
“Last week of me exploring this girl’s shenanigans on screen,” Lilley wrote. “Playing Theresa Donovan off and on for the last 10 years has taught me so much about empathy and grace. I have enjoyed every moment of her hilarious sass and ferocity, layered with brokenness.
“To the cast and crew at DAYS, I owe you forever,” she continued. “You’re my family. And to the best fans a girl could ask or hope for: remember, there is no pit so deep you could ever find yourself in where God’s love cannot find you still. You are never beyond redemption. You are called by grace and marked with love. Thank you for supporting me on this decade-long journey.”
After making her daytime debut in 2011 as a temporary recast of Maxie Jones on ABC soap GENERAL HOSPITAL while portrayer Kirsten Storms was out on medical leave, Lilley joined the cast of DAYS in July 2013 as an adult Theresa Donovan. Following her exit in 2016, the actress returned for another stint in the spring of 2018, and then again in September 2023.
In between her appearances on DAYS, Lilley has gone on to find great success starring in TV movies for Lifetime, the Hallmark Channel, and GAC Family like Mommy, I Didn’t Do It, Harvest Love, Mingle All the Way, and Royally Wrapped for Christmas.
