Serena Scott Thomas Cast in Days of Our Lives Mystery Role!
Please join us in welcoming Serena Scott Thomas to the cast of Days of Our Lives! The soap shared some pics of the actress at the studio but gave no additional details about her role. “Serena Scott Thomas is coming to Salem!” they wrote. “Any guesses who her character might be?”
The English actress is perhaps best known for playing Diana, Princess of Wales in the 1993 television mini-series Diana: Her True Story. She has also appeared in the films The World Is Not Enough, Hostage, and Inherent Vice as well as in primetime series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Nip/Tuck, and Scorpion. And if her name sounds familiar, you might also be thinking of her sister, actress Kristen Scott Thomas.
In the comments on DAYS’ Instagram post announcing the casting, the speculation was flying fast and furious. Even Tamara Braun (Ava) got in on the act, sharing: “Ava’s mum. oh wait, her mom was killed by her dad. Or was she?”
Currently, it seems like viewers are leaning toward Thomas playing Xander’s mother or Konstantin’s wife. (Unless those two people are one and the same?!) But some other DAYS stars were just happy to have the actress joining them as a castmate. “Well hello, Serena,” Eric Martsolf (Brady) said. Linsey Godfrey (Sarah) enthused: “Yes!!” And Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) called her “the sweetest.”
DAYS also didn’t reveal when this particular character was going to be showing up, so you’ll just have to stay tuned to see Thomas debut on the soap to find out who she’s playing!
