Linsey Godfrey Comes Out as Bisexual
June is Pride Month and many cities hold their Pride Parades the final weekend of the month. And it was on Sunday of that particular weekend that soap star Linsey Godfrey (ex-Sarah, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; ex-Caroline, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) used social media to come out as bisexual. In a simple but effective Instagram post, the actress followed a rainbow emoji with “LGBTQ” but she only capitalized the “B.” Next were three heart emojis in the colors of the bisexual pride flag followed by “Proud”, a rainbow flag emoji, and the hashtag “#bipride.”
Godfrey made her daytime debut when she joined the cast of B&B as Caroline Spencer in 20212. She was written off the soap in 2018 and her character killed off-camera. That same year, she moved over to NBC to play Sarah Horton on DAYS, a role she portrayed until March 2021 when the character was abducted.
In 2013, Godfrey announced that she was expecting a child with her boyfriend, Robert Adamson (ex-Noah, THE YOUUNG & THE RESTLESS) and welcomed Aleda Seren Adamson into the world on June 12, 2014. In the summer of 2015, it was reported that Godfrey and Adamson had broken off their engagement, deciding to raise their daughter through co-parenting, and in late 2017, she was romantically linked to actor Breckin Meyer.
Godfrey’s Instagram comments were full of love and support from her fans and friends, including her former DAYS co-star, Paul Telfer (Xander), who simply shared a star-eyed emoji face bookended by two rainbows. Please join us in sending her still more love, too!
