Okay, bear with us because this is going to be a little bit complicated! When Whitley hired a young man to impersonate Theo on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, the reason he might look familiar to some longtime viewers is because he actually did used to play Theo on DAYS! So if nursing doesn’t work out for Whitley, she should totally consider a job in casting!
The real Theo Carver is back in Salem already, with Cameron Johnson back for another stint as Abe and Lexi’s son. But Jerry, who Whitley has enlisted to keep Abe in the dark by impersonating Theo, is being played by Terrell Ransom, Jr., who actually played Theo as a kid from 2008-15! Then the role was recast with Kyler Pettis when Theo was aged into a teenager, and after his 2018 exit, the character wasn’t seen again until 2020 when Johnson stepped into Theo’s shoes.
After kickstarting his career on DAYS, Ransom Jr. went on to appear in episodes of primetime series like THE MIDDLE, CSI: NY, CHICAGO P.D., NCIS, and GREY’s ANATOMY. His most recent role was playing Andre in the Freeform series GOOD TROUBLE. The talented young actor can also be seen in films like 12 Years a Slave, Problem Child, A Chance in the World, and Same Time, Next Christmas.
Ransom, Jr. made his first appearance as Jerry on DAYS in the June 23 episode. There’s no indication yet of just how long his run will last, but as outlandish as Whitley’s plan is, Abe’s amnesia has let her keep it going for quite some time now! So stay tuned to see what twists and turns lie ahead, and how Jerry factors into them!
