Chad Duell and Luana Lucci Prepare to Welcome Their Son!
It’s almost time for GENERAL HOSPITAL star Chad Duell (Michael) and his partner, Luana Lucci, to welcome their first child together! Over the past several months, the glowing mama-to-be has been documenting her pregnancy on Instagram. In a post shared on August 18, Lucci praised her beau for being by her side every step of the way and confessed there’s just about a week left before the couple meets their son, whom they’ve adorably nicknamed Little D!
“Counting down the days at 38 weeks pregnant, and I’m seriously amazed by how awesome my partner is,” wrote Lucci, whose labor will be induced sometime next week when she hits 39 weeks of gestation. “Right from the start of this pregnancy ride, he’s been the rock that keeps us steady.”
As the couple — and their dog, Max — recently moved into a new home ahead of Little D’s arrival, Lucci also got to see a very “practical” side to the GH actor. “Figuring out bills, arranging painters and movers, and totally owning those surprise plumbing challenges — he’s tackled everything like a champ,” Lucci continued. “But it’s not just about the practical stuff, through all the ups and downs, he’s been my unwavering support in every possible way.”
Lucci’s pregnancy has been rather difficult, as she’s dealt with several issues including placenta previa, and nearly went into labor at 28 weeks. Impressively, she’s also managed to launch a new skincare company called Pura Beauty, through it all, in no small part thanks to Duell’s support! “His strength and commitment go beyond us becoming parents,” the model and flight attendant shared. “He’s been a huge motivator for my dreams.”
With just days left before Little D enters the world, Lucci says she can’t wait to see Duell as a father. “As we stand on the edge of this new chapter with our little guy on the way, I’m filled with gratitude for his endless love and backing,” she confessed. “With the finish line in sight, I’m feeling so appreciative and amped for all the amazing moments ahead.”
We hope all goes well for Lucci during these last few days of her pregnancy, and can’t wait to meet Little D!
