Fans were left utterly heartbroken by Gregory’s death on General Hospital, and as Gregory Harrison’s run on the soap came to an end, his former co-stars expressed how much they were going to miss working with the talented actor.

“Gregory Harrison,” Michael Easton (Finn) declared on Instagram. “One of the finest actors I’ve ever had the privilege of working with and an even better human being. I learned so much from you, my friend, and it was an absolute honor to get to share a stage with you these past three years. Your talent, grace, and powerful presence will be greatly missed around the studio.”

Harrison’s TV granddaughter, Jophielle Love (Violet) also took to Instagram to share some backstage pics and wish him well. “Oh, Grand’Pa Gregory!” she wrote. “I will miss you so very much on GH. And I know Michael will, too. I wish you didn’t die. You were the best TV grandpa. Violet loved you so so much and she is so sad. But as Jophielle, I just have one more Grand’Pa in my life now… Love you so much!”

TV son Josh Swickard (Chase) felt the same about Harrison. “Sometimes when you’re working on a show like this and someone plays your dad, it spills over,” he confided to Soap Opera Digest. “He really felt like a father figure to me in so many ways. Still does. He’s such a good human being. He’s been around the block in life, in Hollywood, and then some, and he’s just a wealth of knowledge. And he’s a humble human being.”

Amanda Setton also expressed how sad she was to say goodbye to Brook Lynn’s father-in-law. “I’m going to miss him a lot,” she told Digest. “I have such genuine love and respect for Gregory. I think he’s an incredible person and an incredible actor and a true artist who cares so much. He is always so prepared, so professional, so collaborative, so detailed, and specific with his prep and his choices. I will miss working with him, getting to be around him, and learn from him.”
