Jon Lindstrom Shows Off His First Novel!
Soap fans are well aware of Jon Lindstrom’s acting talents from his roles as Kevin and Ryan on GENERAL HOSPITAL and PORT CHARLES and Craig on AS THE WORLD TURNS. But now, the Daytime Emmy-nominated actor is getting ready to show off a whole new talent with the upcoming release of his new novel, Hollywood Hustle!
Lindstrom first announced that he was going to be publishing his very first novel back in December 2022 and by August 2023 was showing off the cover of the book. Now, in January 2024, just weeks before the tome’s release on Tuesday, Feb. 6, the actor-turned-novelist took to social media to share a video of himself seeing actual copies of Hollywood Hustle for the very first time!
“This is one of those moments I wanted to share with you,” Lindstrom said into the camera. “So I spent the day at GH, working with my friends over there… it was a good day. And I come home and I’m in a good mood. I’m thinking, ‘Well, okay, I’m gonna have some dinner and hang out with the animals, it’s all good.’ And I find this box lying on the porch. And of course, you can see ‘Penguin Random House.’ What the heck could this be? Well, I have a pretty good idea. But I wanted to share that moment with you guys. So… here we go!”
Cracking open the box, Lindstrom pulled out a hardcover copy of Hollywood Hustle and showed off the blurbs praising the novel as well as his author bio and summary of the plot. “Oh my gosh,” he marveled, taking it in. “And there it is. A hardcover of my book. This is really, really exciting. Wow, I’m getting kind of emotional here.”
Hollywood Hustle will be released on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and can be bought online, but Lindstrom urged fans to support small businesses. “Don’t ignore your local bookstore,” he said. “Please! They can pre-order it, too. You pre-order, upload your receipt to this link right here and I’ll sign a bookplate for you and we might end up spending an hour or so online with each other. You can ask me anything you want…”
Fans who submit proof of purchase of their pre-order of Hollywood Hustle by Friday, Feb. 2, to the link above will receive a signed bookplate from Lindstrom and be entered into a drawing where 10 lucky winners will enjoy an hour-long virtual meet-and-greet with the actor/author. Good luck!
