GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Marcus Coloma Shows Off His Musical Talents
From the moment he first appeared as the new Nikolas Cassadine on GENERAL HOSPITAL, Marcus Coloma wowed viewers with his acting ability, but fans may not be aware that over on his Instagram he’s been wowing folks with his musical talent! “I don’t consider myself a vocalist, a guitarist, or a lyricist,” he joked, “but I definitely have the hunger. I’m definitely hungry. Right now, so hungry.”
Little kids often like to make up impromptu songs about whatever springs to mind (Have you seen Jophielle Love (Violet) singing to Rebecca Budig (Hayden) yet? It’s the cutest thing ever!), and that’s kind of what Coloma is doing, albeit with an adult’s musical talent behind it. And while he sings some silly stuff, he sometimes takes things more seriously, as in these two clips.
Of course, the performer’s also got a terrific sense of humor, like on Jan. 27 when Coloma found himself sitting around his apartment waiting for Amazon to deliver his new mattress and decided to compose a little ditty about his predicament!
To be fair to Amazon, Coloma posted another video a few hours later admitting that he may have jumped the gun with his “Amazon Delivery Blues.” “Well, it turns out Amazon just delivered my mattress at 12:31,” he confessed sheepishly. “So I may have overreacted and been a little dramatic and I just wanted to say I’m sorry. What a great business. And… yeah.”
While Nikolas has taken a turn to the dark side with his most recent return to Port Charles, it’s great seeing his portrayer’s lighter side on social media. And who knows — maybe Coloma can demonstrate his talents on GH if Nikolas performs at the next Nurses Ball!
