Maurice Benard Shares “The Best Babysitter in the World” — See the Adorable Video!
Anyone with kids knows how difficult it can be to enjoy some quiet time. So when GENERAL HOSPITAL star Maurice Benard (Sonny) made a discovery about an easy way to keep kids occupied, he took to social media to share it with everyone. “The best babysitter in the world!” he declared on Instagram.
“If you have a small child and you need them to be silent for about two hours,” he explains in the video. “All you gotta do is watch…” At that moment, he pans his phone around so the camera goes from his face across the room to the TV where they are all watching Shrek!
Laying with Benard on the bed watching the 2001 animated comedy is his daughter, Cassidy Benard, and his granddaughter, Tiana, who is absolutely engrossed in the flick. So much so, in fact, that she doesn’t even glance at the camera until after her mommy plays with her hair. And even then, it’s only for a few seconds. By the time Benard pans over to his own smiling face and back to Tiana’s, the toddler already has her eyes glued to the TV again!
As a doting grandfather, Benard has been sharing all kinds of fun videos of his grandkids on social media, like a super-cute dance party he had back in April with little Tiana, nicknamed “TT.” Or the absolutely heart-melting clip of Benard and his granddaughter having a joyful reunion after not seeing each other for a long while.
Sonny may be currently on the outs with his kids and grandkids on GH, but in real life, Benard is beloved by both his children and his grandchildren! In addition to Cassidy’s daughter, Tiana, Benard’s daughter Heather also has a little girl, Eloise. And we can’t wait to see even more adorable photos and videos as these little cuties grow up!
