While many General Hospital fans would love nothing more than to have Jonathan Jackson come back to the soap as Lucky, the performer has been keeping pretty busy lately. First was his almost-unrecognizable turn in the movie Unsung Hero, and now he’s released some new music, a beautiful song titled “Myrrh Bearers.”

“A new music video for a Greek collaboration song, “Myrrh Bearers,” is available to watch on YouTube,” Jackson announced on Instagram.

The tune is sung by Jackson with music from Andreas Katsigiannis and lyrics by Alexandros Fotinos. The music video was posted to YouTube by Heaven Music and features stunning scenic visuals of Greece, a priest, Jackson, and religious iconography.

Jackson first found fame when he originated the character of Lucky Spencer on GH in 1993. After his exit in 1999, the role was recast with Jacob Young and Greg Vaughan, but Jackson returned in 2009 to take it back. After his exit in 2011, the last time viewers saw Lucky was in 2015 as part of Anthony Geary’s exit as Luke. During his time on GH, Jackson earned nine Daytime Emmy Award nominations and took home five trophies — three for Outstanding Younger Actor and two for Outstanding Supporting Actor.

In addition to his acting, Jackson and his brother, Richard, formed the band Enation. Together they released several albums and their song “Feel This” became a top 10 hit on iTunes after being featured in the series One Tree Hill. He also performed in his primetime series Nashville, and has toured around the world with both his co-stars from the ABC series as well as Enation.
