Kristen Alderson Shares a Beautiful Memory of ONE LIFE TO LIVE

Tags:

Soap fans watched Kristen Alderson literally grow up before their eyes as she played Starr Manning on ONE LIFE TO LIVE over the course of 14 years. Viewers enjoyed her as a precocious six-year-old all the way through to her teenage years as Starr experienced first love and more. The pairing of Alderson’s Starr with Brandon Buddy’s Cole became a popular pairing in the later years of OLTL, with fans giving the couple the smush nickname “Sole.”

“Came across an old OLTL script from when Starr and Cole were talking about running away together for the last time,” Alderson shared on Instagram. “Because of this scene, fans sent Brandon Buddy and I a dollhouse that exactly fit their dream home. It even has a backyard, a swing set, and a Starr, Cole, and Hope doll.”

She snapped a photo of the dollhouse along with the page in the script from the episode that aired back on Nov. 4, 2010. Cole had decided to turn himself in for killing Elijah Clarke, but Starr tried to convince him that they could run away together with their daughter and be happy living somewhere far from Llanview. “What about a small town?” Cole suggested. “A little yellow house with a swing set and a hammock in the backyard?”

And not only does Alderson still have a copy of that script in her home, but she still has the dollhouse that the fans sent them at the studio. “I know you ‘Sole’ fans are out there who sent this,” she wrote. “Just know how appreciative I am, and that I still have the house and always will.”

Sadly, the young lovers never got their happily ever after. As fans recall, the family was in a terrible car accident on their way to Port Charles (when the characters were crossing over to GENERAL HOSPITAL after OLTL’s cancellation) and Cole and Hope were tragically killed, forcing Starr to begin again on her own. But just like Alderson, fans can still remember the happier times.
