Fans of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL alum Jennifer Finnigan (ex-Bridget) who live in the United States will finally get their chance to enjoy her new primetime series, MOONSHINE, when it premieres on The CW Friday, July 7, at 9 p.m. ET! “Who’s up for some quirky, funny, weird Canadian dramedy?” the actress shared on Instagram. “Because this is special, unique, and rock’n’roll, and man, I love it.”
MOONSHINE stars Finnigan as Lidia Bennett, the daughter of Ken and Bea Finley-Cullen, played by Peter MacNeill and Corrine Koslo. The parents, who own a ramshackle summer resort on the south shore of Nova Scotia, are keen to retire, but their adult children are battling for control. Plus, there’s a dark secret behind how they’ve kept the place afloat that could finally be exposed!
The series originally premiered in Canada back in September 2021, and the second season debuted in October 2022. The CBC then renewed it for a third season, which is premiering on Sunday, July 17, in the Great White North. But now that The CW has picked it up, fans in the US will finally be able to see the Emmy winner in her latest role!
Finnigan made her daytime debut in July 2000 when she joined the cast of B&B as the newest Bridget Forrester. During her time with the CBS soap, the actress earned three consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actress in 2002, 2003, and 2004.
After exiting B&B in 2004, Finnigan found success in primetime, joining the cast of CROSSING JORDAN and then starring in series like COMMITTED, CLOSE TO HOME, BETTER WITH YOU, TYRANT, and SALVATION.
Finnigan has been starring in MOONSHINE for two seasons now, and American fans of the actress can now see her latest series on The CW. Check out the preview below and then be sure to tune in for the whole wild ride!
