B&B Alum Maeve Quinlan Marries Derek Chatterton!

Please join us in congratulating THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL alum Maeve Quinlan, who tied the knot with Derek Chatterton in an intimate ceremony in Ireland! Following the death of her beloved mother, Mary, in April, the actress postponed her original wedding and later tied the knot at her brother’s home in Wicklow, Ireland, on June 10. “Surrounded by strictly immediate family… we eloped!” she enthused on Instagram. “In Ireland!”

Instead of the big splashy Malibu wedding they’d originally planned, there were only about two dozen family members to witness their intimate union. “Thank you to both sides of our immediate family for walking hand in hand with both of us on this lightning-quick elopement journey after ironically such a long but ever-so-fun years of engagement,” Quinlan expressed. “We are truly nothing without you. We love you from the bottom of our hearts and we are so grateful that our special day was shared in person only with you.”

The bride looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle, even if some light Irish rain threatened to put a damper on the ceremony. “The most perfect wedding dress was the look that sealed the deal for my wedding day and that was my exquisite Old Hollywood-inspired dress by designer Enzoani,” Quinlan declared. “That dress was everything.”

Best known to soap fans for playing Megan Conley on B&B from 1995-2005, Quinlan has gone on to appear in numerous TV movies including The Stalker Club, The Sinister Surrogate, and A Job to Die For. The actress’s friends and former co-stars congratulated her on the union and wished the couple a lifetime of happiness together.

Omigod, sister!” exclaimed Jennifer Finnigan (ex-Bridget, B&B). “We love you both so much! We are so happy for you! We are toasting you now and will toast you and celebrate you guys in person ASAP. You look stunning! My heart is bursting for you… congratulations!”

Although Quinlan and Chatterton are planning a honeymoon, it won’t be for a while. “I’m going to just take this next month and kind of just chill and enjoy married life,” she told Hello! “We keep saying ‘husband and wife’ and it just feels really good to say that.”
