Cirie Fields Previews Her Appearance on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL

If Dr. Martin on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL looks familiar to you, then you’re probably a fan of competitive reality shows because the role is being played by Cirie Fields, who has competed multiple times on SURVIVOR, won THE TRAITORS, and was most recently on BIG BROTHER! She will be making a special appearance in the Wednesday, Dec. 20, episode alongside fellow BIG BROTHER contestant Matt Klotz.

Fields wanted to make sure that she was fully prepared for her day on the B&B set, but when she arrived, she discovered that she had memorized Bridget’s lines instead of Dr. Martin’s! “I was like, ‘Wait a minute — I’m the doctor?!’” Fields recalled to Soap Opera Digest. “So then, right then and there I start studying [the doctor’s lines]! I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ Now I was nervous because I like to be super prepared. 

“I’m a surgical nurse [in real life], right?” she continued. “And we prepare days in advance for your upcoming surgery. We have to have all our ducks in a row and that’s how I am. So not being prepared, I was freaking out!”

Thankfully, she had her son (and fellow BIG BROTHER housemate) Jared Fields with her, and he helped her cram for her scenes. Which is something she’s never had to do when competing on a reality series. “It does give you different kinds of butterflies, because I can easily play myself,” Fields admitted. “I don’t have to study for that. I don’t have to read a script, I don’t have to prepare myself in any way.”

Thankfully, the B&B cast and crew helped keep things running smoothly and ease her concerns when she arrived on set to tape. “I couldn’t believe how accommodating everyone was,” Fields marveled. “I felt so welcomed and so special and so well-received. You see these people on TV and you’re starstruck immediately when you see them. You have this preconceived notion that stars and celebrities are going to be too busy to be human and to take the time to talk to you and be warm with you. You don’t expect that type of warmth in a big studio and big production like B&B, but that’s what we received.”
